RICK's RULES: CIRCUIT SETUP

A concept based on the original PWWTNM rules created by Derek Thorell.

The object of these rules for TNM is to create a TNM fed or fed universe
(multi-feds with competing talent) that will abide by the forth coming rules.

The first set of "The Rules" will take you through the end of year 1. "The
Rules" will consist of weekly instructions that will instruct you of major
and minor events that you will follow to make your fed.

The format for each week will consist of one (1) live two hour television
show, four (4) additional hours of original TV programming, two (2) house
shows, and one (1) monthly pay-per-view card.

The two hour TV show will feature 2 main events each week. The 4 additional
hours of TV can be divided up into ANY format that you wish to use.

As for writing up the cards, the 2 hour live TV show should run between 2 and
2 1/2 hours. The other live TV stuff should equal 4 hours of run time (i.e.
matches, interviews, recaps, commercials, etc.) For the house shows, you
only need to post match by match results, as a full recap is not necessary
since the shows are not being televised.

You will only be required to have one champion. This champion will be your
World Heavyweight Champion. You may wish to have more titles in your fed,
but that is up to you to decide, as only the World Heavyweight Title will
mentioned in the rules.

Your fed will begin with your first week of cards during the week of January 1-
January 7, 2001.

Your roster must consist of at least 20 active athletes at ALL times. You
will be choosing your roster from 4 categories. Top Heels, Top Faces, Star
Heels, & Star Faces.

You will need to choose 5 Top Heels, 5 Top Faces, 5 Star Heels, and 5 Star
Faces from the following lists:

Top Faces (choose 5):
Steve Austin
The Rock
Booker T
The Undertaker
Vader
Chris Jericho
Scott Hall
Kevin Nash
Diamond Dallas Page

Top Heels (choose 5):

Kurt Angle
Triple H
Rikishi
Kane
Brian Adams
Bryan Clark
Chris Benoit

For your 5 star heels and 5 star faces, choose from ANY wrestlers NOT on
the 2 above lists.

RICK'S RULES: YEAR 1, MONTH 1 (JANUARY 2001)

Overview for "The Rules" for the period of January 1 to January 28, 2001:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

This month you will have one Pay Per View. It will occur on Sunday, January
28, 2001. On this card, you will determine your World Heavyweight Champion,
so you will have the entire month of January to build for your first pay per
view's main event World Title match.

"The Rules" for the week of January 1 - January 7, 2001:
---------------------------------------------------------

1. This week you will need to introduce your roster to your fans.
Therefore, EVERYONE on your roster must wrestle on at least one television
program this week.

2. All matches on your live show this week should have no special
stipulations and should all be regular matches, as you are trying to get
everyone over with the fans on their ability.

3. Your first live TV show should feature one tag team match between a heel
team and a face team for the hour one main event.

4. Your first live TV show should also feature the beginning of a heel vs
face singles feud in the main event match.

5. On your taped television programs, you should be sure that all your "Top
Star" talent wins their matches this week.

6. For your two house shows this week, you only need to use four (4) of your
"Top Star" talent, although, you may wish to use more.

"The Rules" for the week of January 8 - January 14, 2001:
----------------------------------------------------------

1. This week, you should use everyone on your roster again on television, as
the fans aren't quite sure what to make of your entire roster and may need to
see it again to decide on their thoughts.

2. All matches on your live TV show this week should once again be just
plain old regular matches.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a "Captain's Match",
featuring one member of each team from last week's hour 1 main event. You will want
to have a third tag team interfere in this match against BOTH teams involved.

4. Your live TV main event this week should feature a match between a top
heel and a top face that ends in a disqualification.

5. Again this week, have all your "Top Star" talent win on the taped
programs. This will help get them over further on the house shows.

6. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't
work last week's house shows. Have one of the "Top Star" heels lose to a
"Star" face on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of January 15 - January 21, 2001:
-----------------------------------------------------------

1. This week, you should start hype your pay per view on January 28. Use
your top heels and faces to cut promos during your taped shows about the pay
per view. During the promos, announce 2 of the 7 matches on your pay per
view. Also announce that your World Champion will be determined at the pay
per view and that next week you will announce on your live TV show how the
champ will be decided.

2. On your live TV show this week, you should have 1 hardcore match and the
rest of the matches with normal rules.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a triangle
tag team match featuring the three teams that were involved in last week's
hour 1 main event.

4. Your live TV main event this week should feature a rematch from last
week's main event between a top heel and a top face. This week make the main
event a no disqualification match.

5. Again this week, have all your "Top Star" talent win on the taped
programs. This will help get them over further on the house shows.

6. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't
work last week's house shows. Have one of the "Top Star" faces lose to a
"Star" heel on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of January 22 - January 28, 2001:
-----------------------------------------------------------

1. This week, you will have your first pay per view on January 28. Last
week during the promos, you announced 2 of the 7 matches on your pay per
view. This week on live TV you will announce the rest of the pay per view
card.

2. You also need to make an announcement on your live TV show about the
World Title main event match at the pay per view. This match should feature
a "Top Heel" against a "Top Face". It can be ANY type of match, as long as
it is for the currently vacant World Title.

2. On your live TV show this week, you should have a variety of matches that
will build up your pay per view card.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a "Top Face"
and a mystery partner vs 2 "Top Heel"s. (use the "m" key when booking for a
mystery partner)

4. Your live TV main event this week should feature one of the participants
in the World Title PPV main event vs a random wrestler from the roster (use
the "r" when booking). This match should also have a "special guest
referee", who just happens to be the other participant in the World Title
match.

5. This week, have all your "Top Star" talent win on the taped programs to
help build them for the PPV. This will help get them over further on the PPV.

6. For your two house shows this week, use only 2 "Top Star" talents from
your roster. This is because the rest of your roster is preparing for the
PPV.

7. PPV Notes: You should have seven matches on this card. All of these
matches have already been announced on this week's live TV show. Since one
of your "Top Face"s just brought in a mystery partner earlier in the week,
you need to find a way to use him/her on the PPV in a non-wrestling role
(i.e. manager, referee, outside interference, etc.).

Overview for "The Rules" for the period of January 29 to February 25, 2001:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

This month's theme is "Fan Appreciation Month".

This month you will have one Pay Per View. It will occur on Sunday, February 25, 2001. On this
card, your World Heavyweight Champion will have his first PPV title defence. This gives you the
entire month to build for your pay per view's main event World Title match.

The Rules" for the week of January 29 - February 4, 2001:
----------------------------------------------------------

1. You have just held your first successful PPV. Therefore, EVERYONE on your roster except
your World Champion must wrestle on at least one television program this week.

2. Your live TV show should feature at least 2 rematches from last week's PPV.

3. Your TV show should also feature the first singles match of the mystery wrestler brought in
last month in the main event.

4. On your taped television programs, you should be sure that all your "Top Star" talent wins
their matches this week. Also, your World Champ should cut a promo about the fans.

5. For your two house shows this week, your World Champ should wrestle in tag team matches.

"The Rules" for the week of February 5 - February 11, 2001:
------------------------------------------------------------

1. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a "Ladder Match", featuring two
of your "Top Stars". It is up to you to determine what object will be hung above the ladder.

2. Your live TV main event this week should feature a "dream partner" tag team match between
your World Champ and the man he defeated at last month's PPV.

3. This week, bring in a veteran tag team and have them win at least one match on the taped programs.

4. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's house
shows. Have one of the "Top Star" heels lose to a "Star" face on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of February 12 - February 18, 2001:
-------------------------------------------------------------

1. This week, you should start hype your pay per view on February 25. Use your top heels and
faces to cut promos during your taped shows about the pay per view. During the promos, announce
3 of the 7 matches on your pay per view. Announce that the PPV World Title match will be a "Spin
the Wheel, Make the Deal" style match (random gimmick match).

2. On your live TV show this week, you should have 1 falls count anywhere match, 1 random
gimmick match and the rest of the matches with normal rules.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature the veteran tag team that you
brought in for the taped shows last week.

4. Your live TV main event this week should feature your World Champ in a non-title towel match
against his opponent's dream partner from last week. The corner men should be their partners
from last week.

5. Since St. Valentine's Day is this week, have one a "Top Face" turn heel.
(What a "massacre" it will be... nothing like Fan Appreciation Month)

6. This week, on the taped programs bring in 2 singles wrestlers.

7. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's house
shows. Have one of the "Top Star" faces lose to a "Star" heel on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of February 19 - February 25, 2001:
-------------------------------------------------------------

1. This week, you will have your second pay per view on February 25. Last week during the
promos, you announced 3 of the 7 matches on your pay per view. This week on live TV you will
announce the rest of the pay per view card. One of the newly added matches will feature one of
the singles wrestlers that you brought in last week.
(He looked good last week, can he do the same at the PPV?)

2. Release one of the two wrestlers you brought in for taped shows last week.
(Looks like the other guy didn't fair so well, did he?)

3. On your live TV show this week, you should have a variety of matches that will build up your
pay per view card. You will want to give the fans what they want in all the matches, so have the
faces win ALL the matches on live TV this week.
(That's right, give the fan's what they want. After all, one of your top faces screwed them last week)

4. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature the new wrestler that started on
the taped shows last week. Start him in a short feud that will end at the PPV on Sunday.

5. Your live TV main event this week should feature the World Champion against the same wrestler
he will be facing at the PPV. This match should be a regular wrestling match.

6. This week, have all your "Top Star" talent win on the taped programs to help build them for
the PPV. This will help get them over further on the PPV.

7. For your two house shows this week, use only 2 "Top Star" talents from your roster. This is
because the rest of your roster is preparing for the PPV.

8. PPV Notes: You should have seven matches on this card. All of these matches have already
been announced on this week's live TV show. Since this month is fan appreciation month, have a
heel turn face at the PPV.
(This will help to balance out the roster, since a face turned heel earlier in the month)

RICK'S RULES: YEAR 1, MONTH 3 (MARCH 2001)

Overview for "The Rules" for the period of February 26 to March 25, 2001:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
This month's theme is "Tournament Month".

This month you will have one Pay Per View. It will occur on Sunday, March 25, 2001. On this
card, your World Heavyweight Champion will have a PPV title defence against the winner of a
16 man tournament (the tournament's details will be outlined in week 1's rules). This gives you
the entire month to prepare your champion for your pay per view's main event World Title match.

"The Rules" for the week of February 26 - March 4, 2001:
---------------------------------------------------------
1. Your champion just had a tough battle at the PPV. Therefore, EVERYONE on your roster except
your World Champion must wrestle on at least one television program this week. However, your
World Champion must make an appearance on live TV in a non-wrestling capacity.

2. Your live TV show should feature at least 2 rematches from last week's PPV.

3. Now it is time to see what TNM's rankings look like for your fed. You should set up brackets
using wrestlers 2 to 17 in the singles rankings for a tournament (See diagram below). The
tournament should start on this week's live TV and conclude with the winner of the tournament
getting a world title match at this month's PPV.

4. Your live TV show should feature round one tournament matches. The hour 1 main event is up
to you to determine. However, the hour 2 main event for live TV should be one of the rematches
from the PPV from rule #2.

5. On your taped television programs, you should be sure that all your "Top Star" talent wins
their matches this week. Also, your World Champ should cut a promo about the upcoming tournament.

6. For your two house shows this week, your World Champ should wrestle in non-title rematches
from the February PPV.

The Rules" for the week of March 5 - March 11, 2001:
-----------------------------------------------------
1. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a tag team match between your
top two teams. There will also be a special referee for this match. It should be a wrestler
not on the roster at the moment.

2. You were contacted by a former world champion wrestler recently released by a major US
promotion. You have agreed to hire him and as part of the contract, he/she is required to have
their first match with your company against the World Champion. Your live TV main event this
week should feature your World Champion in a non-title match against this "mystery" opponent.

3. This week, bring in an "international" star and have them win at least one match on the
taped programs.

4. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's
house shows. Have one of the "Top Star" heels lose to a "Star" face on at least one house show.

The Rules" for the week of March 12 - March 18, 2001:
------------------------------------------------------
1. This week, you should air footage from the ongoing tournament as a highlight package for
your pay per view on March 25. If you haven't named the PPV, give it a name this week. Use
your World Champion to cut a promo about the tournament during your taped shows about the pay
per view. Also during the promos, announce 3 additional matches on your pay per view (there
will be 8 matches in all on this PPV). Announce that a "new" tag team will be making their
debut at the PPV (details about this team will be given the week of the PPV).

2. On your live TV show this week, you should have 1 cage match, 1 anything goes match and the
rest of the matches with normal rules.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature the "international" star that
you brought in for the taped shows last week.

4. Your live TV main event this week should feature a "dream partner" tag match with your
World Champ against his "mystery" opponent from last week.

5. Since St. Patrick's Day is this week, have one of your "Star Face"s turn heel.

6. This week, one of your "star heel" wrestlers came to the office and was totally unhappy with
his current gimmick. Take him off all shows until after this month's PPV, so that his status
with the company can be reviewed.

7. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's house
shows. Have one of the "Top Star" faces lose to a "Star" heel on at least one house show.

The Rules" for the week of March 19 - March 25, 2001:
------------------------------------------------------
1. This week, you will have your third pay per view on March 25. Last week during the promos,
you announced 4 of the 8 matches on your pay per view. This week on live TV you will announce
the rest of the pay per view card. At least one of these matches should be a rematch from the
month long tournament.

2. Release one of your "star heel" wrestlers, but NOT the one being re-reviewed. Rumour has
it, he was exhibiting public behaviour of conduct unbecoming of a wrestler for a promotion of
your calibre. (So what if he was living in kayfabe?)

3. On your live TV show this week, you should have a variety of matches that will build up your
pay per view card. You will want to build the heat for the matches at the PPV, so make sure
that the tournament has ended by this week and that we know who has earned the title match.

4. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature the "star face" that turned
heel last week. Start him in a short feud that will end at the PPV on Sunday.

5. Your live TV main event this week should feature the "mystery" man that faced your world
champ on the last two shows against the champ's dream partner. This match should be a regular
wrestling match. Have the "international" wrestler help the "mystery" man during the match.
Your World Champ will be the guest referee for this match.

6. This week, have all your "Top Star" talent win on the taped programs to help build them for
the PPV. This will help get them over further on the PPV.

7. For your two house shows this week, use only 2 "Top Star" talents from your roster. This is
because the rest of your roster is preparing for the PPV.

8. PPV Notes: You should have eight matches on this card. All of these matches have already
been announced on this week's live TV show. The "mystery" tag team that will be at the PPV,
will be your "international" star and the "mystery" wrestler that fought your World Champ this
month. Since you have one of your "star heel" wrestler's out being re-reviewed, run a promo
about him at the PPV. His return will be on a Live TV event in April as a "top face".

Here are the rules for ALL 5 weeks of April, including the PPV:

Overview for "The Rules" for the period of March 26 to April 29, 2001:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

This month's theme is "Month of Returns".

This month you will have one Pay Per View. It will occur on Sunday, April 29, 2001. On this
card, your World Heavyweight Champion will have a PPV title defence. However the opponent for
your World champ will be named later. This will give your champion only a couple weeks to
prepare for his pay per view main event World Title match.

"The Rules" for the week of March 26 - April 1, 2001:
------------------------------------------------------
1. Your champion just had a tough battle at the PPV, but this week for the first time ever,
your champion must defend his title in a rematch from the PPV. Therefore, EVERYONE on your
roster INCLUDING your World Champion must wrestle on at least one television program this week.

2. Your live TV show should feature at least 2 additional rematches from last month's tournament.

3. Take a look at your rankings in TNM. Which ever wrestler is listed at the bottom of the
rankings is in need of a push. Therefore, have them win all their matches this week.

4. Last month at the PPV you ran a promo for a "star heel" who will be returning soon as a
"top face". Run that promo again on your live TV show this week.

5. Your hour 1 main event on live TV should be one of the tourney rematches from March.

6. Your hour 2 main event on live TV should be the PPV World Title rematch from March.

7. On your taped television programs, you should be sure that all your "Top Star" talent wins
their matches this week. Also, your returning "Top Face" should cut a promo about one of your
"Top Heel"s.

8. For your two house shows this week, you should bring in a pair of wrestlers that have NEVER
teamed before to form a new tag team.

"The Rules" for the week of April 2 - April 8, 2001:
-----------------------------------------------------
1. April 1st was the beginning of Daylight Savings in the US. Have a wrestler or a tag team
show up late to this week's live TV causing them to miss their match.

2. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature a tag team match between your
top team and the mystery team from March's PPV.

3. Last month a wrestler not on the roster refereed a match, have him make his wrestling debut
on Live TV this week.

4. You were contacted by a current world champion wrestler from a Japanese promotion. You have
agreed to hire him through this month's PPV. And as part of the agreement, he/she is required
to have a title "unification" match with your company's World Champion. This will be your live
TV main event this week.

5. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's house
shows. Have one of the "Top Star" faces lose to a "Star" heel on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of April 9 - April 15, 2001:
------------------------------------------------------
1. This week, you should bring in the former heel star you have been running promos for. He
will be a "Top Face" now. Have him wrestle in the hour 2 live TV main event in tag team match.

2. If you haven't named the April PPV, give it a name this week. Use your World Champion to
cut a promo about the pay per view and how he doesn't know who his opponent will be. Also
during the promos, announce 3 additional matches on your pay per view (There will be 8 matches
in all on this PPV).

3. The television stations around the country are reporting low ratings for one of your
programs. Cut your TV programming by 1 hour beginning this week. Along with this cut in
TV programming, release one of your "top stars".

4. On your live TV show this week, you should have a "special, one time only cause it is too
dangerous" type match. This will be your hour 1 main event.

5. If you have a wrestler that gets injured at ANY of this week's cards, he will miss this
month's PPV.

6. For your two house shows this week, use "Top Star" talent that didn't work last week's house
shows. Have one of the "Top Star" heels lose to a "Star" face on at least one house show.

"The Rules" for the week of April 16 - April 22, 2001:
-------------------------------------------------------
1. This week, you will announce the world title match for the PPV. If your current champ is
a "top face", then look at your rankings and use the highest ranked "top heel" for the opponent
at the PPV. However, if your champion is a "top heel", have him face the "top face" that
returned earlier in the month at the PPV. Also announce 2 more matches for this PPV bringing
the total number of matches to 6 of the 8 scheduled.

2. This week for live TV, the two competitors for the PPV world title match will be in a 6 man
tag match for the hour 2 main event. Their partners will be two of your top tag teams.

3. Your hour 1 live TV main event will feature two "stars" that are going to be competing for
a chance to become a "top star" beginning in May.

4. For this week's TV tapings, bring in a singles wrestler that isn't a "top star" that is from
ECW.

5. For your 2 house shows this week, have your World Champion wrestle non-title matches on each
card.

"The Rules" for the week of April 23 - April 29, 2001:
-------------------------------------------------------
1. This week, you will have your fourth pay per view on April 29. Last week during the promos,
you announced 6 of the 8 matches on your pay per view. This week on live TV, you will announce
the rest of the pay per view card. One of these matches will be a match featuring the ECW
wrestler brought in last week.

2. On your live TV show this week, you should have a variety of matches that will build up your
pay per view card. You will want to build the heat for the matches at the PPV.

3. Your live TV show hour 1 main event this week should feature the ECW star that arrived last
week. Start him in a short feud that will end at the PPV on Sunday.

4. Give your World Champion the week off from competing on TV so he can train for the PPV, but
have him cut a promo on live TV about his PPV match.

5. Your live TV main event this week should feature the two tag teams that were in the main
event last week. Have the challenger for the world title at the PPV as the special guest
referee for this one.

By this point, you have probably either had someone
quit, or you have had to fire someone. Before the PPV, sign them to a new contract and have them
make a "surprise" entrance at the PPV.

What to expect for May
----------------------
-A retirement from a top star.
-Elevation of a star to a top star.
-Some new talent entering your company.
-Many more things...
